Changed traffic conditions in Randwick and Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday 17 October 2020

Point to point transport drivers are advised of changed traffic conditions on Saturday 17 October around Royal Randwick Racecourse in Randwick for the Everest Race Day and ANZ Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park for the NRL Preliminary Final.

In Randwick, traffic is expected to be heavier than usual on roads around Royal Randwick Racecourse throughout the day including Anzac Pde, Doncaster Ave, High St, Alison Rd and Darley Rd.

Taxi entry to Royal Randwick Racecourse is via the Ascot Street entrance where there is a secure taxi rank for drop offs and pick-ups.

Hire vehicles including rideshare operators are advised to pick up and drop off on Ascot Street.

Please note that taxis, ride share and hire cars are not permitted to stop on Alison Road or Doncaster Avenue.

Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect on sections of Darley Rd from 4am to 7pm, Ascot St from 8am to 7pm and High St from 3pm to 7pm – visit livetraffic.com for more details and a map.

In Sydney Olympic Park, point to point transport drivers are advised of changed traffic conditions in and around the precinct as thousands of fans travel to and from ANZ Stadium. Traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the stadium ahead of the 7.50pm kick off.

Road closures will be in place within Sydney Olympic Park. Some roads start closing from as early as 2am, check the Sydney Olympic Park interactive map for full closure details and times. Road closures may affect your access to the stadium for pick-ups after the game.

Police will be stationed at entry points to the exclusion zone and sanctions may be administered on the spot for failure to comply. Point to Point Transport compliance officers will also be present and undertaking vehicle and driver ID inspections.

The closest Taxi Rank to ANZ Stadium is on Herb Elliott Avenue near the Pullman Hotel.
