The Commissioner’s on-street inspectors have been conducting compliance operations across regional and metropolitan New South Wales this week, keeping passengers and drivers safe.

  • 19 breaches were identified
  • 15 Improvement Notices were issued
  • 4 Prohibition Notices were issued

Monster Jam – Sydney Olympic Park  

Approximately 70,000 people attended the Monster Jam event on 11 October 2025, at Sydney Olympic Park. 31 hire vehicles and 20 taxis were inspected, with two (2) Penalty Notices issued. The Commissioner’s on-street inspectors were present, ensuring drivers were accepting hirings and using the fare calculation device.  

Lime Street – Sydney CBD

On the 11 October 2025, a joint compliance operation with Transport for NSW was conducted on Lime Street. Six (6) Penalty Notices were issued, as well as one (1) Improvement Notice and one (1) Prohibition Notice.  

Bathurst 1000

On-street inspectors were present at the Bathurst 1000 from 10 to 12 October 2025, inspecting 4 hire vehicles and 39 taxis. Five (5) Penalty Notices, four (4) Improvement Notices, and one (1) Prohibition Notice were issued.
