NSW Police Operation: Strathfield and Burwood - Saturday 22 January

There will be a Police Operation between 11.00am - 4.00pm on Saturday 22 January 2022. This Operation is in relation to a possible protest in Strathfield and Burwood which may cause significant disruption. To ensure the safety of drivers and passengers, service providers are advised of the following road closures and are encouraged to avoid travelling in Strathfield and Burwood during the below times. 

What does this mean for the point to point transport industry?

The following road closures will be in place: 

  • Albert Rd, Churchill Ave, The Boulevarde, Redmyre Rd, Margaret St – 11.00am – 1.30pm
  • Parnell St, Lyons St, Bells Ln, Morwick St, Wentworth Rd, Oxford St, Conder St, Railway Parade – 12.15pm – 1.30pm
  • Burwood Rd, Railway Parade, Railway Cres, Deane St, George St – 12.30pm-2.00pm
  • Park Ave, Dunns Ln – 1.00pm-4.00pm

This Police Operation will help to lessen the risk to public safety and to help protect point to point transport drivers and passengers.
