During the first week of winter, the Commissioner’s on-street Inspectors attended several events across New South Wales, where they conducted overt and plain clothes compliance operations.

- 62 breaches were identified
- 19 Improvement Notices were issued
- 1 Prohibition Notice was issued.
Vivid Sydney – Sydney CBD
Sydney’s Vivid Festival, a multidisciplinary festival of lights, music, food and ideas, entered its third, and nearly final week.
Rideshare vehicles and taxi were out in significant numbers and the Commissioner’s on-street Inspectors were busy conducting their compliance checks during this time.
Of particular note, the inspectors identified 38 fare-related offences:
- 30 breaches against the fares order
- 6 breaches for not using the fare calculation device (taxi meter)
- 2 breaches for refusing to accept a hiring when offered.
Further, a hire car driver was penalised for plying and standing for hire without having a booking at Sydney Airport.
Bliss & Eso – Port Macquarie
Following their successful passage in Byron Bay, emcees Bliss and Eso accompanied by DJ Izm brought their Party on the Moon Tour 2025 to the Panthers club at Port Macquarie on 6 June 2025.
The Inspectors were on-site to oversee vehicle movements and ensure vehicle compliance and passenger safety. One rideshare vehicle and seven taxis were inspected. Overall compliance was great, with zero Penalty or Improvement Notices issued on the day.
