Weekly Wrap: on-street compliance

Published

This week, the Commissioner’s on-street Inspectors continued their compliance activities in both metropolitan and regional areas across the State. The team continuously focus on major events and strategic locations, including airports.

One of the Commissioner’s strategic priorities is ensuring industry compliance. Commission staff continuously conduct highly visible and covert operations to deter non-compliance. Drivers, operators and service providers who choose to break the law, risk being fined, prosecuted and even disqualified from the industry.

Whilst the inspectors always maintain a visible presence at Sydney Airport, this week they conducted targeted compliance activities at both International and Domestic airport precincts.

The team executed both plain clothes and overt compliance activities where they targeted driver behaviour, specifically touting and fare related offences.

Across the week 4 August 2025 to 10 August 2025
