Amidst the wild and windy weather, this week the Commissioner’s on-street inspectors were busy out at several events.

- 19 Improvement Notices were issued

NRL: Canterbury Bulldogs vs. Sydney Roosters – Moore Park Entertainment Quarter
The on-street inspectors were present at the Bulldogs vs. Roosters game on 15 August 2025, inspecting 36 rideshare vehicles and 27 taxis. With approximately 25,000 attendees at the sporting event, two Penalty Notices and one Improvement Notice were issued.
The inspectors were positioned on Errol Flynn Boulevard and Moore Park Road to ensure drivers accepted hirings and were using the fare calculation device, as well as ensuring a smooth flow of traffic.
NRL & AFL – Moore Park Entertainment Quarter
Around 45,000 spectators were at the AFL and NFL games at Moore Park on Sunday 17 August. Inspectors checked 46 rideshare vehicles and 38 taxis and issued two Improvement Notices.
Many patrons were queuing for taxis throughout the night, and the Inspectors were on-site to ensure compliance and passenger safety.
