The Point to Point Transport Commissioner’s Authorised Officers continually conduct a mix of highly visible and covert, plain clothes operations, targeting illegal and unsafe driver behaviour throughout NSW.
In the week, Monday 29 July – Sun 4 Aug, a total of 32 Penalty Notices and 12 Improvement Notices were issued.
Areas with the highest penalty infringement notices were Sydney International Airport and Wynyard St, Sydney.
Regionally, the compliance team also attended the Coffs Harbour Races on 2nd August, inspecting 11 vehicles, 8 rideshare vehicles and 3 taxis.

Our Authorised Officers have also witnessed an increasing number of rideshare vehicles stopping in bike lanes on Moore Park Road causing a potential safety issue to cyclists using these lanes.

Taxis have also been observed taxis queuing from Flinders Street to Oxford Street

Taxis have also been stopping behind the pedestrian crossing on Carrington St in Sydney CBD stopping the flow of traffic and causing a potential safety hazard.
Service providers are asked to address these issues with their drivers and ensure the behaviour stops.
