Applications are now open from 5 August 2025 until 5 December 2025 and must be submitted through the NSW government SmartyGrants system.
We encourage all eligible WAT vehicle owners and operators to review the program guidelines, confirm they meet the eligibility criteria and submit their application before the closing date.

In addition to the grant, a new round of the WAT Loan Scheme has opened. The value of an individual loan has been increased to a maximum of $125,000. The interest-free loans will help taxi owners and operators in NSW with placing new and additional WATs into operation by funding the cost of purchasing, modifying and/or retrofitting a WAT vehicle.

Applications for the latest round of the Scheme is open from 5 August to 12 September 2025.
