Laneway Festival – Centennial Park

In its first year at its new location of Centennial Park, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival welcomed 45,000 revellers on Saturday 9 Feb.

Given the accessible location, many people were using public transport to get to and from the event, however, our inspectors were present to ensure those who chose to use point to point transport options, were able to do so safely.

Our inspectors checked 62 rideshare and 45 taxi vehicles across the day.

  • 2 fines were issued for rideshare drivers failing to display their retroreflective sign.

  • 1 improvement notice was issued for a vehicle having worn tyres.
