Enhancements to the Driver Vehicle Dashboard

Published

Two enhancements have gone live on the Driver Vehicle Dashboard (DVD) to help make driver and vehicle checks easier and more efficient.

The first enhancement is the new PT CODE APPLIED column which shows the date the driver had the Passenger Transport Licence Condition (PT Code) last added to their NSW driver licence.

The second enhancement is the renaming of the CHECKED DATE column, now known as the LAST CHECKED column. The date in this column will show the date a Taxi or Booking Service Provider last checked a driver in the DVD i.e. if they ran a check on all drivers on Wednesday 28 April 2020, the last checked date would display as 28/04/2020.

A fact sheet to explain these two enhancements in greater detail is now available.

DVD enhancements

Taxi and Booking Service Providers should remember the DVD only provides results for NSW driver licences and point to point transport safety offences, Serious Driving Offences and Criminal Charges committed in NSW.

It should not be the only source of information used by Taxi and Booking Service Providers for on-boarding drivers or managing existing drivers.

The criminal histories of all new drivers must be checked to ensure they do not have any disqualifying offences, prior to being on-boarded. Taxi and Booking Service Providers should also conduct ongoing driver checks to ensure drivers do not incur disqualifying offences in any other state or territory of Australia, or in any other country.

For further information or specific questions, Taxi and Booking Service Providers can also contact the Industry Contact Centre on 131 727.
