The Point to Point Transport Commission Compliance Team undertook on-street activity at the State of Origin final at Sydney Olympic Park on Wednesday 10 July 2019. This was part of ongoing compliance activity at a range of sites and events throughout NSW. This focused on checking taxis and hire vehicles compliance with safety standards under the Point to Point Transport Regulation.
A total of 60 taxis and hire vehicles were inspected with 8 penalty infringement notices being issued.
The most common offence was taxi drivers not correctly displaying their driver identity documents.
