Taxi Licence Determination 2021
Due to the economic impacts of COVID-19, TfNSW determined not to issue taxi licences at this time. You can learn more about the current taxi licence determination on Transport NSW’s website.
Wheelchair accessible taxi (WAT) licences are not impacted by TfNSW’s taxi licence determination and may be applied for at any time through the Point to Point Transport Commissioner Industry Portal.
WAT licences require the vehicle give preferences to customers in wheelchairs, a condition of authorisation that the Commissioner monitors. Further obligations for WAT taxi licence holders and more information can be found on our website.
