A Point to Point Transport Commissioner compliance campaign resulted in fines being issued to seven drivers for breaches of point to point transport law at ANZ Stadium in Homebush on 25 October 2020.

Four taxi drivers each received a $300 fine for failing to display the required driver identification in their vehicles in breach of Clause 28 of the Point to Point Transport Regulation. The safety standards for taxi drivers section of the Point to Point Transport Commissioner website outlines taxi driver identification expectations as well as the proper display of information.

Three hire vehicle (rideshare) drivers each received a $150 fine for failing to display a retroreflective sign on or near the driver’s side of the vehicle in breach of Clause 20 of the Point to Point Transport Regulation. The Safety Standards for booked vehicles section of the website provides clear details around signs and markings for booked services.

Point to Point Transport Commissioner’s Authorised Officers will continue to undertake operations at special events to promote the safest possible services for passengers and drivers.
