Disqualifying offences - glossary

The Point to Point Transport Act prohibits people who have committed certain offences, known as disqualifying offences, from being authorised as a taxi service provider or booking service provider.

There are also disqualifying offences for drivers, meaning if they have been found guilty of those offences, they do not meet the safety standards for a driver.  This is similar to the previous fit and proper assessments under the 1990 Act, except that there is a clearly defined and published list of offences taken into consideration.
