Introducing Point to Point Transport Commissioner Barbara Wise, PSM
Barbara Wise is the Point to Point Transport Commissioner – the regulator for taxis, hire vehicles and rideshare services in NSW.
Barbara was appointed as the State's first Point to Point Transport Commissioner in October 2016, following the NSW Government's reforms to the industry.
Prior to her appointment, Barbara ran the secretariat for the Point to Point Transport Taskforce, which formed the basis of the Government’s reforms to the industry, announced in late 2015, and then led the implementation of the Government’s initial response to the Taskforce report.
Barbara has previously worked as both a regulator and in policy relating to passenger transport in NSW.
Barbara received a Public Service Medal in the 2019 Australia Day Honours, recognising her work in shaping and implementing the point to point transport reforms.
