Complimentary face masks available for all point to point transport service providers

Published

Point to point transport service providers and drivers in Greater Sydney and regional areas now have access to complimentary face masks as an added initiative to help keep drivers and passengers safe and limit the spread of COVID-19.

Where can you access masks?

Service providers and drivers are encouraged to direct their vehicles to the nearest Vehicle Sanitisation Station (VSS), if they have one nearby. Picking your masks up while having your vehicle sanitised is a fast and efficient way of receiving the complimentary masks. Each vehicle is eligible to receive five disposable face masks per visit (up to ten face masks per day).

Vehicle Sanitisation Stations (VSS) are available at multiple locations throughout the state. This is a complimentary service for all point to point transport vehicles, for up to two sanitisations, per vehicle, per day to help reduce the spread of illness and assist with maintaining driver and passenger safety.

Service providers who are based in regional areas who do not have a Vehicle Sanitisation Station (VSS) located nearby now have access to packs of 50 disposable face masks via the Commissioner’s Industry Portal.

To make an order, simply login to the Industry Portal, navigate to the Activities tab on the Account page and place your order by clicking on the “Order items” button.

Wearing masks

Masks are mandatory for passengers and drivers in all point to point transport vehicles across NSW.

Mandatory mask wearing does not apply to:

  • Children 12 and under
  • Persons with a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability that makes wearing a fitted face covering unsuitable including, for example, a skin condition, an intellectual disability, autism or trauma.

Thank you for your ongoing support and contribution. We all have a role to play to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
